With the holidays over and school has gone back, it is time to get back into routine, where you and your bub spend quality time together. What better way to do this than by engaging in ‘Tummy Time’. This can be fun for both of you! All you have to do is get down on the floor and play with your bub.
What is ‘Tummy Time’?
‘Tummy Time’ should be started from birth and involves placing your bub on their stomach for short periods of time. This will help develop their upper body strength and neck muscles.
Start by placing your bub on their tummy several times a day for a few minutes when they are awake. NEVER put bub to sleep on their tummy as this increases the risk of SIDS.
