Bubs Baby Shops first store was opened in march 2000 in Noosa, by a husband and wife team, Guy and Meagan Hinze. Their vision was to have a baby store with the largest range of products from toys, to strollers to cots and car seats. They also wanted to provide ‘parents to be’ with some extra comforts such as a feeding and changing area and a refreshment station. Most of all they wanted to provide knowledge and information to give new parents peace of mind.

Three years later in 2003 the couple opened Kawana Bubs Baby Shop. More than double the size of Noosa Bubs, the couple enhanced the look and feel of their successful first venture whilst providing an even larger range.

With the growing support of their major wholesalers, the Hinze family was convinced to move into the Brisbane area. This began with their first superstore ‘Bubs Baby Shop – Strathpine’ in 2004. Also in late 2004 they opened the Bubs Baby Shops in Fortitude Valley.

In 2006 Bubs expended opening their first store interstate in the A.C.T. In 2007 again expending this time into the NSW Central Coast city of Tuggerah and shortly after into Rutherford.  These stores took on another new look.  They offered you as a customer a 'Parents retreat' and a Child Friendly Zone. The 'Parents Retreat' allows you to comfortably feed and change your baby. The Child Friendly Zone is an area in the centre of the store that is full of fun activities to occupy your young one.  Leaving you to enjoy the store knowing that your child is safe, cannot get in harm’s way and viewable from any point in the store.  We also expanded our car seat display to have the most comprehensive range on display anywhere in Australia. 

In 2008 the first Sydney store was opened in Auburn.  As well as having all the features of the Tuggerah and Rutherford stores we had the first 'Store - In - Store' display. What is a 'Store - in - store"?  It is a dedicated area for a key wholesaler to display their products exactly how they would want it to be displayed at an expo.  This gives you as the consumer the chance to view everything in one spot.  The Auburn store also has 3 dedicated 'Walk - in' bedroom settings.  These are fully set up nursery settings complete with a normal height ceiling and soft down lights.  We can show you exactly how your nursery will look and most importantly how it will feel.

June 2009 saw the opening of the latest and most technologically advanced store in our chain of 11 Superstores, Bubs Baby Shop in the Logan Mega Centre.  We again have expanded on all ideas and added an additional bedroom setting.
